NOS A/S acquires SKS Kraner A/S as part of strategic growth plan
Effective October 1, 2024, NOS A/S, a subsidiary of Grene WIS A/S, has acquired SKS Kraner A/S, a well-established leader in the crane industry.
This acquisition is a key element of NOS A/S’s ambitious growth strategy, aimed at strengthening its position as a nationwide provider of lifting equipment, cranes, and related services. Founded in 2000, SKS Kraner A/S has developed strong expertise in delivering, installing, and servicing cranes and specialized equipment. The company is recognized for its high-quality solutions, reliability, and customized offers.

Grene WIS has acquired Group MPASIA A/S with the brand Global Tarps, a leading manufacturer of tarpaulins for the global wind turbine industry which are used for protecting towers etc. both on and offshore.
MPASIA possesses extensive product know-how, manufactures to a high quality and has all its products manufactured at a state-of-the-art factory in China with 350 employees. MPASIA has become a leading supplier to the wind turbine industry globally. This position is expected to be further strengthened following the merger.

Life Raft / Rescue Boat Hook is a combined automatic release hook, which can handle rescueboats and life rafts up to a safe working load of 3500 kg.
The hook can be operated as an automatic release hook, releasing when the craft enters the water, or as a manual release hook, whereby the load needs to be off the hook before releasing.
This hook will also increase safety, as the crew only need to familiarize themselves with one hook instead of two, there is no second hook, dangerously swinging around when lowering.
The hook also comes in variations with a SWL of 2500 kg and 1500 kg.

We do tests and inspections
We are authorized by The Danish Maritime Authority to perform inspection of hoisting- and loading gear on ships – Competent person category B.
We will come to your location to test if your equipment complies with regulations and legal requirements. If not, – we are ready to correct any defects that could have occurred.
We also offer to do annual inspections of your equipment according to the regulations from the Danish Working Environment Authority, and we will contact you when it is due time for your annual inspection.

Do you need corrosion protection?
We have anti-corrosion tape, which is resistant to both water, salt, alkalis and acids. The tape is designed to protect overground steel structures, underground and immerged structures, for example: water, gas and oil pipelines, etc.
The tape will not crack, peel or harden and can be used under water for i.e. immerged parts of quay walls, bridge and jetty pilings.
The tape is environmentally friendly and is useful in temperature variances from -40°C to +84°C.

Do you need webbing- and round slings?
Webbing slings and roundslings can be used in all forms of lifting and hoisting operations, from the smaller lifts to the much larger and more complicated lifts, of i.e. lifting and assembling of wind turbines. We offer webbing slings and roundslings for lifting and hoisting of everything between 1 to 500 tons. Our standard webbing slings and roundslings are made of polyester, which is much lighter than i.e. steel. This makes the webbing slings and roundslings much more user friendly and does not damage the cargo which is being lifted.
We also offer heavy duty roundslings, made from i.e. Dyneema ® with a cover which are also made from Dyneema in a special weave structure, which makes the sleeve significantly more resistant to abrasion and cuts than a standard polyester sleeve.

This week we present our YOKE swivel lifting points!
We offer among others, YOKE swivel lifting points which are high-quality forged products. In the series ‘Yellow point’ The working load limit is 100 % in the temperature range between -40⁰C and 100⁰C, 85 % at temperatures between 100⁰C and 200⁰C and still 75 % at 350⁰C. And during tests they are subjected to 2.5 times of the admissible working load limit.
All lifting points meet the requirements of the Machinery Directive and of ASME standard B30.26.

When cranes need to be tested, inspected according to the norms and regulations, or load bearing parts has been exchanged or repaired, it is required to make a load test.
For load testing, we often use water bags, because they are easy to transport, easy to pack after use and can contain up to 100 tons of water. A load cell will be installed between the water bag and the crane, to monitor how many tons that are lifted. The cranes are tested to see if they live up to their lifting capacity, requirements and legal requirements.

We do all types of service and re-certification of chains and hoisting equipment. We also provide the annual mandatory inspection of lifting gear and cranes according to ‘Arbejdstilsynets’ requirements.
When you buy equipment from us, we make sure to contact you, in due time, to make an appointment for the next annual inspection and re-certification.
We perform inspections and test in our own workshop, or we can come to an address of your request, to perform the inspection and tests. Our test van is equipped with a variety of standard spare parts, enabling us to replace worn-out or discarded items. Nordic Winch Master – The perfect winch line for shipowners and operators that require an extremely strong, buoyant rope with exceptionally good abrasion resistance at an attractive price level.
Especially well-suited for use on mooring winches and conforming with OCIMF mooring line for tankers. These 2 coils of 68mm x 110 meters with soft eye spliced in both ends are used as winch lines on a ferry operating here in Northern Europe.

Recently NOS A/S delivered this Modulift Lifting Spreader Beam, with a WLL of 110 ton, and a max span of 18 meters.
From Modulift we can deliver Lifting Beams with WLL capacity in the range from 2 to 5000 ton, and with a max span of up to a 100 meter.

After 9 years of operation under joint ownership, NOS A/S will from now on only have the one owner, Jensen Offshore Holding ApS. Previously NOS A/S was owned by this company along with three other stakeholders: CEO Holding ApS from Denmark and two investors from Malta, Calpac Traders Limited and Salvo Grima Group Limited.
Behind Jensen Offshore Holding ApS is Claus Jensen, who is the Managing Director of NOS A/S.
“It was in the best interest for all the parties to complete this trade as the sellers are happy to consolidate their core businesses, while we are looking forward to take our ambitions to the next level by expanding our customer segment and customer profiles. We strongly believe that this will benefit everyone involved, from our customers to our suppliers as well as both our staff and selling parties,” says Managing Director Claus Jensen.
The Maltese owned Calpac Traders Limited are ship agents, ship brokers and register vessels under the Maltese Flag, while the other Maltese investor Salvo Grima Group Limited are Malta’s leading ship and yacht supplier. The Danish company CEO Holding ApS is owned by Carl Erik Olsen, who is operating as an independent contractor with expertise within Sub Sea Cable Laying.

From the 1st of July 2018, Tom has undertaken a new role within our company as Technical and Commercial Manager, and with this he will take over the daily responsibility of the internal sales and purchasing functions as well as the warehouse and service.

NOS A/S has had a very busy year and with very good results made possible by our dedicated staff. Henning has gained a wide experience over the past 42 years, having worked with technical departments in more Danish shipping companies and technical consultancies, yard agencies etc.
Henning knows about the customer’s daily challenges and his knowledge and experience is used as an inspiration to help solving the customer’s problem.
NOS A/S will therefore, in extension of our core business within the field of lashing equipment, steel wire ropes, lifting equipment, fiber ropes etc. be able to offer more specific items like ships’ spares for deck and engine and other items related here to, i.e. hull anodes and the like.
